WochenKlausur: What to do …

Is there a problem in the city that needs to be solved? A matter to be clarified in this part of town? Is there a deficit in the neighbourhood that needs to be reduced? In our workshop we develop ideas and artistic strategies for possible solutions. And in between we ask what this might have to do with art.

For 25 years, the group WochenKlausur has been developing small but concrete proposals to reduce socio-political deficits and implementing them. Following the activist art of the 20th century, WochenKlausur sees art as an opportunity to bring about improvements in living together. Artistic design, traditionally understood mostly in formal terms, is used to solve problems in education, ecology or social tasks. 42 international projects have been realized to date.
