The feeling of truly being in a room or a world arises in virtual reality (VR) without any formal or atmospheric references to the real world. The design of many VR projects follows the paradigms of photorealistic representation to create immersion. Enjoy the Silence explores this trend and contrasts it with untapped potentials of abstraction, silence, and passivity. In the summer semester of 2019, this project analyzed the reality of virtual worlds and incorporated the insights gained into their own interactive VR worlds.
