In this project, I use the online role-playing game “World of Warcraft” to illustrate how players can become addicted to the game through game mechanics and design decisions. In doing so, I translate a classical painting by Hieronymus Bosch, originally about the sins of mankind, in terms of content and composition to represent the descent into the fictional world and online gaming addiction.
