The clean girl aesthetic describes a social media trend that requires a certain ideal of beauty and a certain lifestyle. Clean girls are characterized by a minimalistic, neat and flawless appearance. My work deals with the distorted perception of the female beauty standard and questions the appearance of clean girls.
